  • TV Seminars

The 2002 TV seminar will have focus on the international scene:
    • What do you need to know to sell your project internationally?
    • How are international deals structured?
    • What goes on at MIPTV?
We'll have a report on our attendance there this year with the MN catalog as well as a panel of international buyers and distributors.

Each year the Film/TV Board hosts a professional educational seminar for local TV producers. In 2001 over 150 attended the seminar "Minnesota TV: Building on our Success." National TV programmers were brought in to discuss the new directions their network — and TV in general — is going, what they look for in a show and how to frame an effective pitch. Local TV producers discussed how they broke into the business, what worked for them and what didn't. The day also featured a pitch session in which members of the audience got to pitch their sitcom, reality series or documentary project to the national programmers, who then briefly critiqued their ideas and presentation.
