The Gopher Theatre was opened in November, 1940 with tickets costing a dime for kids and $.30 for adults. While the Gopher has always been run as a movie theatre, it was closed for a period of time and was re-opened in 1989. The Gopher Theatre is one of the few theatres in Minnesota where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a beer with your movie.
