Lanesboro and its surrounding environs are so painfully scenic and striking it's like chewing aluminum foil. Nesteled in the "bluff country" in the far Southeastern part of Minnesota, Lanesboro is noted for its miles of gorgeous bike trails, distinctive lodging options and renowned playhouse. However, the townsfolk are mostly unaware of the beauty which surrounds them, and although pleasant, act as if we're cuckoo for driving 90 minutes south to bask in the visual heaven that is Lanesboro.
