    Minnesota Film and TV Board hires Director of Production

    (MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA) - The Minnesota Film and TV Board has hired Nicole Hinrichs-Bideau as Director of Production. Hinrichs-Bideau will begin her new position December 3, 2001.

    Ms. Hinrichs-Bideau brings over 10 years of film, arts, education, and production experience to her new position. For the last two years, Hinrichs-Bideau has been the Film, Video, and New Media Coordinator with the City of Minneapolis' Office of Cultural Affairs, where she fostered the development of the media arts by serving as a liaison between government officials, the production community, neighborhoods, businesses, artists and institutions. Formerly, she was an Associate Producer at Twin Cities Public Television and taught Film Studies at Century College in Saint Paul.

    "It is a great honor to continue to aid in the economic development of our fabulous creative film and TV community with the strong board and staff at the MFTVB" Ms. Hinrichs-Bideau said. " I am thrilled."

    The Director of Production is the state's major liaison to the film and television production industry-in Minnesota, Los Angeles and around the globe. The Director of Production is responsible for delivering world-class production services to feature film, television, and commercial production companies, and to promote Minnesota as a national leader in feature film and television series production.

    The Minnesota Film & TV Board's mission is to build and promote the commerce and art of the moving image industry in the State of Minnesota. The Minnesota Film and TV Board is a unique public/private partnership and the only non-profit state film commission in the United States.
