    Snowbate

Unique in the nation, the Minnesota Snowbate rebates up to 10% of virtually all Minnesota production expenses to the producers of feature films, television movies and national television series.

The Snowbate is a program created by the Film/TV Board to stimulate more long-form narrative film and television production in the state. The rebate is designed to give producers an incentive to shoot in Minnesota versus a competing market by returning up to 10% of documented Minnesota production expenditures to them (with a cap of $100,000 per project).

To date, more than 50 projects have benefited from the Minnesota Snowbate, with over $1.5 million returned to film and TV producers. In return, these projects have spent more than $47 million in Minnesota! Results for the past four years are available for download by clicking here*.

For more information, or to receive a Snowbate application form, please contact Nicole Hinrichs Bideau at [email protected] or 612.332.6493.
