The State Theatre :: Minneapolis, MNThe State was built in 1921 at a cost of $1 million. In its first year of operation, over one million people attended the cinema and over 750,000 miles of film ran through its projectors. After being closed for 16 years, the theatre was restored to its original grandeur and re-opened its doors in October 1991.
